Spike is usually nonchalant and laidback most of the time, even in dire situations, and shows little interest in anything. Spike wears a tan colored shirt with a blue jacket over and a tie, his pants are also blue and he has round shoes to go with it all. His brown eyes are different from each other, one has a more reddish tint over it and is generally lighter. Spike is a handsome young male his hair is thin and bushy-like with a dark green color. The love of his life is a woman named Julia and his arch nemesis is a man named Vicious. From the start of the series, he has been hunting bounties along with Faye Valentine, Jet Black, Ed and Ein. He is a 27 year old man who was born on Mars.

Vicious is far more emotionally unhinged the remake (with the anime having implied that he frequently used the aggression-inducing red eye drug), making his name more than a coincidence. Before he was Spike, he was known as “Fearless,” a fitting name for obvious reasons that also further connects him to his former friend, Vicious.īy having Spike’s original name be Fearless, the Cowboy Bebop remake explains the name of its main antagonist and further emphasizes his kinship with Spike. Whatever Spike’s real name was is still unknown, but he went by a nickname during his time as a Red Dragon enforcer. When Spike speaks to Ana in the live-action Cowboy Bebop, his wording strongly implies that Spike Spiegel is an alias, which wasn’t the case in the original anime but makes sense, given that he’d faked his death. Spike and Vicious’ friendship broke down when Spike fell in love with Vicious’ girlfriend, Julia. Spike was close friends with another enforcer, known as Vicious, and the two were poised to ascend in the syndicate’s hierarchy, despite the latter’s often impetuous behavior. In both the original anime and the live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop, Spike Siegel was once part of the Red Dragon Syndicate.
